OxyR trans-activates HslJ under oxidative stress conditions. Plasmids pETH2905 (6xHis::oxyR) and pACYC2868H (PhslJ::6xHis) were co-transformed into BL21(DE3). After 2 h from IPTG induction, in the presence or absence of H2O2, whole cell lysates were resolved on SDS-PAGE, transferred onto nitrocellulose, and probed with mouse monoclonal anti 6x-His tag and horseradish peroxidase–conjugated anti-mouse antibodies. Specific signals were visualized by enhanced chemiluminescence system. As expression controls, pETH2905 (6xHis::oxyR) was transformed in BL21(DE3) and IPTG-induced.
